It is a combination of two sports - orienteering and biathlon (winter and also cross). The competitor has to run orienteering a shoot with a weapon (.22 long rifle) into classic biathlon targets.
A state of birth is Sweden. There was found International biathlon orienteerig federation (IBOF) in 1998 a then the competitions has been staging.
Czech biathlon orienteering has two historical data 22nd July 2008, when Biathlon club Jílové staged the first competition in Czech for their friends from Orienteering club Děčín.
